I see that many of them were basically the same ideas and maybe found it hard to compete with sites that drew in more people. I think part of the issue is that many sites relied on the same people to comment and show up on a regular basis. Just my thoughts on it today. :) Comments: 5 Politics and religion We often feel these two topics cause too many issues and don't wish to have them on our sites. I have given this a lot of thought and have come to the conclusion it's not the topics... but the people... causing the issues. It's not even just politics and religion... it's more like all kinds of life styles and choices that get people to fighting, insulting and being rude. Mostly, I've noticed if … [ Full reading ] Comments: 4 Pride... and being proud I admit I don't keep up much with all things going on in the world. Lately, I've received emails about "pride month" and didn't pay much attention. Now, I just don't get what it takes to be proud... evidently! lol I'm not going to fall in and be proud of people because of their skin colors, choices in sex partners and all that good stuff! If someone does something with great skill, is artistic … [ Full reading ] Comments: 0 Is there life out there? Comments: 6 Repurposing a guitar into a planter It's been a year now and I still have Jack's guitar. I was really undecided what I wished to do with it but have finally decided I am going to turn it into a planter. Some people cut off a piece and use a whole side for plants, I am not going to do that. I am leaving it whole and turning the round, open part into a planter area. I am still debating whether I want it to lay the long way or … [ Full reading ] Comments: 2 What I've been thinking I've given this plenty of time and have decided I am removing all mods, checking and removing all accounts that never posted anything here and just going to let this be. Do I miss the Disqus part of things? Not at all. I miss a few people, but I don't think the feelings are overly mutual. lol Blessings wished to all of you :) Dolores O'Riordan | The Journey [ Full reading ] Comments: 1 Happy Birthday, Breezey!! Comments: 7 Rose of Jericho... the resurrection plant ![]() In my wanderings on internet, I came across this plant. It's quite interesting how it seems to be a dead ball of some kind of plant, but when put in water, it opens and starts to look alive again. I gave one of these plants to a daughter and she loves it. I have more to gift yet, but they … [ Full reading ] Comments: 2 Learning and doing things each day I've been learning and doing things that I had put off for a long time. I never realized how much went into making a simple stained glass butterfly or the bigger projects of windows...or repairing church windows and making your own designs.
