We meet people on the internet all the time. As time goes by, we feel we get to know some of the people we chat with daily and we consider them to be "friends". Sometimes, we are fortunate enough to meet one of these friends in daily life and hopefully form a bond. Other times...that's just not happening.
Recently, I was reminded how some people draw others in and get them believing a story... and getting others attached to a character that really doesn't exist... and then the death scene that has others hurt and crying because a "friend" has died. Later, it's found out that the person never existed. This has happened quite often on the internet world... a couple of times that I was personally involved, but only one time I truly believed what I was told.
I think that's an awful thing to do to others, but especially crappy when people pull that on kids and teens.
I guess this is my rant for today.
