The video I am going to post was just the main idea of how I did my own. I used a drum from a dryer that was given to me... the top completely open, no sides like the video one has. The office chair was simple to take apart. Just removed a screw or two...no cutting needed. To put it all together was one big screw and a nut to hold it in place. I've had it for at least four years now and no issues. For grilling, I bought a tripod set up and just took the rack part from it. It fits the top like it was made for it!
Not too long ago, I brought home the round outside part from someone's fire pit they no longer wanted. Eventually, I will get to replacing all the little tiles and drop my fire pit down for a nice look.
Leaving a few videos on different DIY fire pits
I once painted mine, but it all burnt off! lol I used high heat paint, but it wasn't happening!!
This video is really nice for a fast and simple way to making a fire pit. It could be a bit expensive if needing to buy the materials, but often, I see those items on the curb for free.
A lot is going to depend on what your idea is for a fire pit.
