Everybody seems to have their own version of chili and even ideas on what never should be in chili.
I was given a recipe quite a long time ago and just never tried it until yesterday.
It was a huge success and all are demanding I put this recipe in my cook book and others are asking for the recipe so they can make their own.
Instead of just ground beef, this recipe calls for ground sirloin, cubed sirloin and ground breakfast sausage/pork.
I gave it a go as written, but am told you can substitute the meats with different ones that may be less expensive.
I don't normally add three meats to one meal dish, but this really was good!
Anyone wanna share what their ideas of a great chili are?

I eat a chili meal once a month, tins of beans, a hot chili stag tin too, served on 3 slices multi-grain toast with 2 eggs, onions and tomato fried - it's nice, although sometimes feel guilty that the stag chili is soap box gm.

Looks like I need to change the word coding for a few smilies! lol
You basically make a canned chili? Interesting way to have it with toast, eggs and all... surprise faint

I like my chili because I put in 3 types of meat, tomato sauce, salsa sauce, corn, chick peas with beans, onions and peppers.Plus spices and different hot sauces. It's an explosion of flavor.

Yes, three slices toast with chili to one side, eggs another, all separate !
The chili comes in cans called 'Stag' from the states, I go for the Dynamite Hot that almost seems mild. lol. Evil or Very Mad

Three types of meat is what I did this time...and peppers and onions! Beans too! Yours differs with salsa, corn and tomato sauce. The recipe I made this time called for diced tomatoes and no sauce. I think my family likes the tomato sauce and kind of missed that ingredient.
